Want to share your ideas for the next best project, event, or program at the Saxonia Hall? Consider joining the Saxonia Hall Board of Directors as a Trustee for the 2022-23 term. Meetings take place once a month and new voices and perspectives are an asset to the team. Please note that in order to be eligible for a position on the Board of Directors, members must be full active members of the German-Canadian Club of Aylmer, Ontario. Do you love to try new recipes? Are you looking for inspiration for your next meal planning spree? Want to explore traditional recipes that have been passed down throughout the club's history? Then volunteering with our Food Sale Team might be just for you! Volunteers can choose to be part of any step in the process, from preparing ingredients like cabbage leaves and strudel pastry to rolling cabbage rolls and breading schnitzel, to packing food kits for upcoming fundraiser sales.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is looking to gain more experience in a commercial kitchen setting in the food and hospitality industry or for someone who simply loves to cook with a team!
Are you interested in sharing your passion for culture and dance with others? Do you enjoy volunteering in a high energy setting? Consider volunteering with our Children's Folk Group! Volunteers will help group participants with learning dance steps, making crafts, playing games, and other folk group activities. Those with background experience or a particular interest in dance may also have the opportunity to choreograph German-inspired dance routines.
This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to gain experience working in a creative and educational setting or someone who simply loves to dance and have a good time!
